Zero-length .xml output files

We're using 1.5.8. One of my team members, when running our unit tests, ends up with .log files for each NCover run, but zero-length .xml files in every case, which of course causes NCoverExplorer to tank.. This is not happening on our build machine or on any other dev machine. Any ideas on what would cause this?
