Thanks. Actually, I had already read through both of your entries before I posted, and none of the issues you mention seem relevant to my situation. We're not gettiing empty .xml files in the sense that it is valid XML with no content -- we're getting 0-length files that NCoverExplorer cannot parse at all.

On the one machine where the problems occurs, the developer is building all the comonent on that machine, with full PDB info. We do not use the GAC for any of our own assemblies. I did go ahead and add "/noshadow" to the NUnit calls, but it made no difference.

Anything else I can look at, such as possible clues in the NCover log file?

I never did get around to the "part 3" of deciphering the log file. You are getting a log file being produced then? If it's not too big post the contents, or else e-mail it through to me. So you are sure you have all the coverlib.dll registration etc sorted on this guys machine, right? Any other machine differences such as lack of local admin rights?
